Sydney is certainly a city that comes to life in the Summertime, people come from all around the world to see the beaches, the harbour, the animals and the nightlife. With more things happening than you can poke a stick at, snow isn't on the top of anyones list. This year Sydneysiders are in for a treat.
As part of Primavera 09, which is a collection of works from Australian artists under 35, Sydney visual artist Michaela Gleave will create a snowfield on the Museum of Contemporary Art's front lawn in Circular Quay. Known for her installations that re-create weather conditions and challenge your perceptions of nature, this is a sight you won't want to miss.
The event will be running from
12.30-6.00pm on Saturday, 14th November 2009, coinciding with the Museum's 18th birthday celebrations.
