The GFC may have had us cowering under the covers for the past year, but there is some good that's come out of the meltdown: we're all getting better at making our money go further.
This Saturday, Sydney's CarriageWorks is giving penny pinchers a helping hand in the form of Rethreads. Without spending any money, you can revamp your wardrobe, library and cd collection as part of what will be a massive swap meet. Bring along your unwanted clothes, books and music and exchange them with other like-minded souls.
On the day there'll be music from Fbi and 2SER, a cafe and bar, and stalls from vintage stores including Pigeon Ground and Newspaper Taxi.
For all the details on when, how and what to swap, visit the CarriageWorks website.
