If you're in the mood for a little book club action, we highly recommend checking out the 'Inspired Reading' book club series held at the MCA. The books discussed during the 'Inspired Reading' nights are linked to one of the exhibits currently happening at the MCA, and a nifty tour of the exhibit often follows after the readings.
The MCA has chosen the widely adored verse novel The Monkey's Mask by Australian author Dorothy Porter for its next 'Inspired Reading' event. The reading, which will be lead by poet and artistic director of The Red Room Company Johanna Featherstone, will be showcased together with the MCA exhibit avoiding myth and message: Australian artists and the literary world. A tour of the exhibit will follow the reading.
This 'Inspired Reading' book club event will be held on June 9 from 6pm until 7:30pm.
Cost: 10$/ $8 MCA & Concessions. Bookings are essential and can be made on 02 9245 2484 or education@mca.com.au
