One of our favourite Melbourne shopping haunts, Alice Euphemia, has decided to take the fashion-awareness bull by the horns. They're hosting a self-described 2020-inspired forum in the space above their Swanston Street store tomorrow night. The forum will be lead by a panel of experts and will deal with a number of issues relating to the social and environmental impacts of fashion and ways in which the negative effects of the industry can be reduced.
Some of those seated on the panel include Emer Diviney: Research and Policy Coordinator in Sustainable Business at Brotherhood of St Laurence, Molly Williams: No Sweat Shop label, Sue Thomas: School of Architecture and Design at RMIT, Cameron Neil: Operations Manager - Australian for Fairtrade Labelling Australia & NZ. All questions posed to the panel are the result of an online survey posted on the store's website.
