Bring the Noise has given a group of young British artists the chance to create works inspired by the vibrant, richly ornamented paintings of Manchester-born, Trinidad-based artist Chris Ofili’s retrospective at the Tate Britain.
London designer INSA counts Chris’s works as one of his main influences, especially the recurring themes of hip-hop. Big Daddy Kane’s song ‘Pimpin Ain’t Easy’ has featured in various works. So in response to Chris and Big Daddy, INSA has created a pair of ten-inch elephant dung platform heels entitled “Anything Goes When it Comes To (s)Hoes”.
Definitely brings a fresh meaning to the phrase, 'My new kicks are the shit'.
