Dude looks like a lady... lady looks like a dude? Who freaking cares because JD Samson’s new band MEN are just plain awesome.
The first show of their European tour was a sold-out affair, full to the brim with fans, new and old. Splashed in colour and geometric shapes (and JD in a cute-as-hell playsuit and bad-ass teenage moustache), MEN churned out their signature electro-synthy pop fused with spangly guitar loops with an all out assault on the fun factor. They had me smiling from ear to ear for the entire time.
Early in the set, 'Credit Card Babie$' set the room on fire with Samson’s die-hards rushing on stage for a boogie and a sing-a-long. “...and that was only track 3?” JD muses between breaths. 'Off our backs' got the crowd jumping and 'Simultaneousy' rocked out hard with some dreamy guitar riffs and a solo so epic it broke a string.
Catchy? Yes. Addictive? Hell yeah. Fun? Damn straight.
MEN's debut album Talk About Body is out now and their third single Who Am I is on Monday, 14th February.

Those clever designers at Dosh have gone and done it again, adding another line to their already fantastic range of wallets and just in time for Christmas.
For $69 you can pick up one of the new ‘street’ range (in nine different colours), whilst the sleeker ‘luxe’ wallets will give you that understated, stylish look you’ve always been after. Now you will be able to take your wallet from work, to the club and still look siiiick all day long.
If this isn’t good enough for ya, check out their new collaborative animation with miniature expert, Tileman. Spying Tileman about 6 months ago when his miniature skateboard animation video hit the web, Dosh decided they wanted a piece of the action. Dedicated as they are they even turned their friends into miniatures for the day, let's hope they put them back to normal after the film was shot.
